Well... I'm not a cat, but I am a someone who has been working professionally in the field of technology since 2014.
From building Websites and Web applications, as a full-stack dev, to deploying large scale enterprise networks and working in the public sector for my local school district. I've ventured far in the field of Computer Science and technology.
I'm getting ahead of myself though...
My name is Miguel Rodriguez.
I was born in Mexico, but grew up most of my life in southwest Florida.
I've been working passionately with technology since I was a sophomore in high school. I started by taking a class in web design, and later a class on computer hardware and repair. Soon after I majored in Computer Science after discovering the joy I find working with tech!
I started off my professional career by working as a web developer in college for a local data recovery company in the area known as CPR Tools Inc.
Later I worked for the family business implementing IT solutions ranging from PC troubleshooting, scheduled backups, server deployment, developing a company website, and more.
After I began working for the local school district as a technology specialist. My main focus was PC repair and troubleshooting. After some time I moved up to a network technician where I began my first steps working on computer networks.
As a network technician I performed network troubleshooting, and I worked alongside the district's network engineer.
After a while I moved out to return work as a web developer where I worked for a property research company as a web developer. I specialized in migrating their system to a modern web application.
I spent some time honing my web development skills, and mastering new techniques and technologies, and helped deploy the company's web application.
Later I was presented with an opportunity to return to the school district as the network engineer/systems administrator, and I was happy to return and help give back to my community; which leads me to where I am today!
On a more personal note, I’m an avid runner, a guitar enthusiast, and a proud cat parent to three delightful felines named Chrome, Mac, and Swift!
